Let your dog swim only where the water looks clear
Choose water that looks clear, and rinse your dog with tap water after any swim. The CDC advises keeping pets out of water that is discoloured, scummy or smells bad, because harmful algae can make animals very sick quickly.
What romp checked: Nothing about this water. romp has no algae or water-quality data for any lake, river or beach.
What romp did not check: Whether this water is fit for your dog to swim in; romp does not judge any lake, river or beach.
